Your role:

Now is a great time to join Simitive. We’re established, we’re fast growing and some of our biggest milestones still lie ahead. We have ambitious plans and this is chance to be part of something substantial.

Backed by our Technical Director and, with support from our Account and Project Managers, we need you to take technical responsibility for development of this successful and mature platform undergoing active development - with new functionality at the back end, new features and evolving front-end and mobile aspects too.

It’s full stack LAMP work leading your developer colleagues and our third-party suppliers, supported by our QA team. You can also expect some systems work; we can support this while you get up to speed.

We’re looking for someone who thrives on responsibility, who believes in quality software and who wants to become the future of the business.

  • Producing a new engine for matching students with jobs | Improving automation in the system | Moving to a mobile first responsive approach
About you:
  • You are competent Web applications Developer, with proven PHP / LAMP skills
  • You can soon be effective with Drupal and can help us explore new components and frameworks too, such as Symfony | Laravel | Zend Framework 2
  • You have some front end skills – HTML | CSS | JavaScript - and can guide on good design
  • You are comfortable holding technical dialogue with customers
  • You can carry technical responsibility for delivering on the product roadmap
  • You also have intermediate Linux and server skills - or are keen to learn

Salary and benefits:

  • £28,000 – £35,000 joining salary – negotiable
