
 
Rebound Electronics is hiring a data manager for our all-new data analytics capability.
 
We're a global market intelligence and data-driven supply chain solutions company, leading in the sourcing, supply and insights around semiconductors and electronic components. Utilising our digital footprint, proprietary sourcing tools, data-driven analytics and global reach, we are able to offer our clients unique supply chain and inventory management solutions to secure trusted products. 
 
We have a large quantity and diversity of market and supply chain intelligence data and we're now ready for someone to manage the team, function and outsourced data warehouse platform that delivers upon our evolving business insights needs.
 
We're hiring someone ready to manage and develop an all-new technical team which embraces new technologies and new opportunities to get the very best from data. 
 
We're into Agile, scrum and finding ways to improve how we develop and work with our proprietary software solutions. This is a new product-led data function, collaborating with the software development team.
 
Our CDO will help you get up to speed, supporting you while you grow into your new responsibilities.
 
What you'll be working on
	- Establishing our immediate BI needs and priorities, and delivering upon this
- Understanding how data flows through our global operations, and how this may be improved
- Collaborating with our CDO to form and deliver upon the new data/analytics strategy
- Choosing outsourced data warehouse platform supplier
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders
- Shaping the roadmap for data and analytics/BI
- Onboarding new data technical team, and establishing key objectives and deliverables
- Collaborating with our ERP development team, translating data requirements
- Analysing the data held within our ERP, and readiness for new analytics/BI
- Guiding team around data, analytics/BI and data warehouse tools and methods
- Setting policies, processes, standards and documentation practices
 
We're looking for
	- Someone ready for a broad data management role, progressing to become head of data
- Experience managing or leading a team, ideally in a remote/distributed environment
- Resource or delivery management experience, coordinating a multi-skilled team
- Ability to help define and evolve data and analytics/BI strategy and owning its roadmap
- Ability to evolve the data and analytics function, shaping its culture, methods and tools etc.
- Ability to guide the capture of complex BI needs and help your team to translate this into effective data stories, dashboards, insights and reporting
- Solid understanding of data warehousing ecosystem and principles
- Solid understanding of analytics/BI - principles, standards, methods, tools - and can guide less experienced colleagues and stakeholders
- Previous hands-on experience, such as; data management, data analysis/modelling, data visualisation, analytics/BI development - or similar
- A good understanding of data governance and data management, ability to form strategy, policy and manage delivery
- Ability to manage internal and outside relationships and suppliers
 
You may also bring - or like to gain - skills or knowledge around any of
	- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum practices
- Delivering via cloud services such as Azure or AWS
- An understanding of data science principles
- The current cyber security landscape, and an appreciation of the need to design and develop secure solutions to safeguard data
 
Salary and benefits
	- £65,000 - £80,000 - we're keeping an open mind

Location: fully remote (within the UK only), with regular visits to our HQ on Newbury Business Park. 
You may also work from our modern and air-conditioned Newbury office, with hot-desking, free parking, a fully equipped kitchen, and a supermarket nearby. We'll get-together in person quarterly for team building, deep dives and ceremonies - with good notice and expensed travel.
