Connected-Ventures needs people who enjoy using progressive technologies to help advance our behaviour-based ad serving platform.
It’s interesting work in a relaxed start-up like team environment where you can soon contribute to technical design discussions, run with high visibility projects and enjoy working under minimal guidance.
We can support your transition from another programming language. Our software stack is predominantly written in Golang and is structured as a service oriented architecture. Data storage is in Elastic for statistics and metrics, with queueing system data stored in Redis. AngularJS and Node.js are used for our CMS solution.
We offer a strong technical challenge and ongoing personal development from the many milestones ahead.We’re also proponents of open source technology and we encourage your active involvement in the community
Example projects:
- Aggregating 3rd party APIs using event messaging systems (Apache Kafka) and horizontally scalable Golang services
- Refactoring services to scale within a Docker environment and moving to a robust continuous deployment model
- Contextualising over 90k web pages p/sec using natural language processing, covering a large number of decision trees for specific advertisers
About you:
- You are positive, hard-working and easy to get on with
- You have a Computing or numerate degree from a well ranked University, or excellent earlier grades
- You bring proven coding skills from your time in industry or University projects
- You adapt quickly and may have used languages such as; JavaScript | Node.js | AngularJS | ReactJS | Golang | Python | Ruby | Clojure | Erlang | Haskell etc.
- You can apply the principles of clean code to your work through TDD, pairing and review
