Senior Node.js Developer (central Bristol) TL212

Fresh8 Gaming is hiring for a new Node.js Developer colleague, to build powerful full stack solutions for the management consoles our customers and developers use.

We're an ambitious AdTech business focussed on the sports betting industry, with a newly launched product upon which you can make a significant impact. We’re about collaboration and openness not command-and-control. We’re fast moving and we iterate and ship code rapidly. We follow TTD principles, newly adopting a Kanban delivery framework and we utilise and contribute back to open source.

You'll be using Node.js and AngularJS to create a richly functional campaign management console, with intuitive user tools, templates and content delivery solutions that are implemented well within our stack. You'll primarily be working with Node.js, along with some Front-End aspects.

  • Supporting continuous improvement and investigating new technologies to benefit our existing architecture
  • Creating highly available micro services to manage the distribution of localisation across the platform
  • Advanced management and reporting in real-time tracking, mobile & cross-device and trend analysis
  • Introducing an MVT testing suite to augment our A/B testing ability
  • New dynamic and personalised ad formats, targeting content based on user data and behaviours
  • Dynamic video ads, providing ‘near live’ content and offers
  • New ad builder solution, enabling customers to build custom ads based on pre-built components
About you
  • Positive, hard-working and easy to get on with
  • Proven coding skills, throughout the stack, using modern frameworks such as; Node.js, Express.js, Typescripts. Willing to work with Front-End technologies such as Vue.js, React.js, AngularJS
  • Understand OOP concepts, ES6 and best practices such as DOM performance
  • Competent designing and building APIs
  • Strong understanding of modern database technology, implementing with throughput and scalability in mind
  • Can apply the principles of clean code through TDD, pairing and code reviews
  • Comfortable leading work estimation and forecasting tasks within a team, and you're familiar with Kanban and/or SCRUM ways of working
